How it works


When you buy a retirement apartment at Pearl House it is your home, you stay in control of your independence and live the life you choose without the worries of upkeep or isolation. You also maintain the benefits of owning your own home and are free to sell it if you desire.

We are here to ensure the experience is what you want it to be in a luxury environment and with facilities to enjoy, like dining out in the restaurant, relaxing in the bar or library and enjoying events and social activity.

You can involve yourself as much or as little as you like, it’s totally up to you.

Friends and family are important to us all, at Pearl House Newbury we have a guest suite available for a nominal fee. This  can also be booked out to ‘try before you buy’. (this facility will be available on completion of the complex)


If you have concerns further down the line then again we are here to help; not everyone necessarily needs care at the same level at the same time. We believe flexible care is the answer. As part of the required care plan assessments our home care partner is available to discuss potential care options. Please note that long term nursing care cannot be provided.

Maintenance & Management Fees

Although you own your home it is important to note that there is a monthly service charge and a deferred management fee (payable on resale) together these ensure that all the elements it takes to run and maintain Pearl House are covered.
